On this episode Julie talks to Jessica Holmes, a Canadian comedian, actress and author who just released a new book called Depression the Comedy. It’s a very funny, honest and uplifting memoir that describes how Jessica eventually came to terms with, and learned to live alongside, clinical depression.
Jessica is best known for her work on the Royal Canadian Air Farce – a comedy sketch show that used to be on CBC television. She has opened for Jerry Seinfeld, Ellen DeGeneres, Leslie Neilson and Russel Peters. Oh, and a former talk show host you may have heard of – Oprah Winfrey.
Jessica’s book: Depression the Comedy: A Tale of Perseverance
